1926-35 | He attended the elementary school in Tucapy and Skrychov, then the high school in Tabor. |
1938 | Graduates as the fitter in Malsice at Tabor |
1943 | He was forced to work in Germany, but invalided home for an illness. There are generating his first drawings and wattercolours in nature during that spring time. |
1945 | He is doing exams for the Academy of the Arts in Prague. He is accepted to the General Graphic School led by the professor Vladimir Pukl. |
1949 | He graduates the Academy of the Arts. |
1950 | His studies are ended with the honoured year. He marries Jirina Svecova from Cenkov. In that time he still lives with his parents in Podolí. |
1951 | He works very intensively. He sends his works to various exhibits in Ceske Budejovice. He is trying to paint with oils. Eva, his daughter, is borned. |
1956 | He displays his works as a guest in the Prague Hollar Gallery. |
1958 | He becomes a member of SCUG HOLLAR (Sindicate of Czech Artists and Graphics Artists). He completes the four years lasting reconstruction of his cottage in Cenkov. He sends his works to the Exhibition of the young in Brno. Peter, his son, is borned. |
1959 | Exhibits in House of Artists in Prague (Peterka, Serych, Tesar). Takes a part in the exhibition of group M57 in Prague. |
1960 | His first independent exhibition in Rokoko the theatre in Prague. |
1961-98 | He has lived and worked in a small village named Cenkov. He has been realising a lot of independent exhibitions and he has been participating with many more exhibitions both here and abroad. His works are published by such the publishing houses as the Ceskoslovensky spisovatel, Odeon, Mlada fronta, Severoceske nakladatelstvi, Zapadoceske nakladatelstvi and Jihoceske nakladatelstvi. He has been creating a lot of drawings, free graphic sheets, graphic cycles and hundreds of tiny graphic forms. He has collaborated with architectures too. His works are also represented in the National Gallery, the Ales's South Czech Gallery, other leading galleries in Czech and Slovakia as well as in muzeums and private local and foreign collections. He has got many various awards for his work. |
